This morning, we all got woken up at 7am by our alarm clocks. We had to pack all our stuff, leave the boat, and check out by 8:30am. After we got ourselves together, and checked out, we walked 2 minutes, to our pre-booked maxi taxi that was waiting at the Marina. It was only a half an hour drive to the airport, and was mostly along the freeway. At the tiny Zadar airport, we had 3 hours to kill, before our flight to Poland. For the 3 hours, we went to a cafe, and grab breakfast. Mum and dad got an email a few days ago that I have to choose my electives for year 9 already, so we spent an hour at the cafe looking over all the notes, and subjects. It was making my brain hurt! 30 minutes before the flight left, we left the cafe, and went through security and passport control before boarding the plane at 1pm. We took-off at 1:20pm. On the plane, we were all saying how our lead up to the flight had Netzer gone so smoothly (all we need is 3 hours to kill :). The flight was 2 hours long, so we landed in Poland at 3:20pm. We had 2 connecting flights, so they transferred our luggage from one plane to the other because they were the same airline. We had a 2 hour layover, and so, we decided to step outside of the airport, to say that we’ve officially been to Poland. Dad checked the boarding passes, and because of him European credit card, we got priority checkin, and we were allowed into a few VIP lounges for free, which was very exciting! There was a fancy buffet, with very nice bathrooms. There, we ate dinner even though it was only 4pm, so we wouldn’t have to get it later. The second flight to Copenhagen left at 5pm, after it was delayed by 30 minutes. It was only an hour, so felt like not much time at all. We flew LOT, a Polish airline company both times, and even on the hour long flight, we got complementary food, which was tasty. We arrived in Copenhagen at 6:20, due to minor delays in the air, although had to walk 10 minutes to the baggage wheels, and then wait another 40 minutes for our suitcases. We scurried out of the airport with all our luggage, trying to flag a taxi down. We soon jumped in a maxi-taxi and were off to our hostel, right next to Tivoli. The hostel’s actually the exact same company that ran the hostel we stayed in in Milan, and the same layout and look. Once we checked in, and brought all our luggage up, we all had quick, refreshing showers, and then while mum and dad did research, we relaxed, and watched a movie. We were all just saying how smooth this travel day went! So far, Copenhagen is stunning, even the stores in the airport. Every store looks like opus, and beautiful! Some places look exactly like London, but newer. Can’t wait for the next few days!
