After six weeks of sun and sea, it was time head north to cooler climates. We arrived in Copenhagen in the evening and made it to our hotel. The next morning I woke up early and headed out for a run to get my bearings.
By the time I got back to the hotel, the others were awake. We headed out to explore the city and find breakfast.
After meandering through the quaint streets of Copenhagen we ended up at some markets where I had the nicest looking bowl of porridge I’ve ever seen.
We spent some time walking around the markets.
After we finished at the markets we grabbed some electric scooters so we could cover more ground. We took a shortcut through a park and stumbled on a huge area with farm animals open to the public.
After a couple of hours, we found ourselves near Tivoli Gardens - a theme park in the middle of Copenhagen that originally opened in 1843. We decided to spend the rest of the day there.
We left the park when it closed at 11 pm and headed back to the hotel (which, fortunately, was across the road).
The next morning I decided to check out a local outdoor gym. It was very Danish.
After the hectic day at the theme park, we took it easy for most of the day, heading out in the evening to dodge the peak-hour cyclists and go for dinner.
It was raining on our last day in Copenhagen, and we had a flight to catch in the afternoon so we decided to spend the morning at the Experimentarium - a science museum just north of the city.
It was great. We beat robots in stacking competitions…
…attempted to solve rope puzzles…
…and made giant bubbles.
After a great time at the museum, we headed to the airport and through security (both the Lego version and the real one).
Next stop - Norway.
